The band made their way to Murphy’s pub once again. And when they arrived there was a Celtic folk group playing. We arrived en masse and moved into the pool area where the pipes were quickly put on the table. “Rack em up!” Refreshments were provided and then the band did a set. In the middle Neil Dickie borrowed the pipe majors pipes and did a couple of solo pieces a pea broch as well as the sailors hornpipe. Someone in the crowd asked who that was, someone else said “a world champion piper”. The band finished their set and were told that a bus was available at the Hotel Rosita.
The 2 ETS pipers went to join the mass band on the promenade and were led by Senior Frogs to “Senior Frogs”. A couple of sets there and some refreshments and back to Murphy’s for a last set.
